Wavetable synthesis uses recorded or designed waveform cycles that can be scanned and morphed in real time. Asteroid includes 130+ custom wavetables built around space and cosmic themes, giving you evolving, animated sounds that go far beyond static samples.
Is Asteroid good for ambient and cinematic music?
Yes — Asteroid is built for it. The Cosmic Pads, Astro Drones, and Stellar Winds categories are especially useful for ambient beds, cinematic atmospheres, and sci-fi scoring.
